Which kind of tour suits you
Lake Garda tours fall into four groups. Boat trips show the shoreline from the water. Tastings take you to vineyards and olive groves. A full-day coach tour covers Verona. Tickets cover Gardaland and its aquarium.
Prices below are the "from" price per person in 2026 unless the tour is priced per boat. They change with the date and group size, so the live listings further down are the figure to trust. Most tours start in a different town, so look at the meeting point before you book.

What the price usually includes
Read the inclusions before you compare prices, because the same "from" price can buy very different things.
On the sailboat cruise from Malcesine the fuel, skipper and crew are covered, but drinks are not. On the speedboat tour you get a skipper and the views, but you cannot get off and there is no food or toilet on board. The self-drive boat includes fuel, insurance and a GPS map.
The Verona tour covers the guide, an air-conditioned coach, a city walk, taxes and fees. Meals and drinks are extra. The tastings include the food and wine listed, but not the way there.

Wine and olive oil tastings
The shore has several wine areas, and a tasting is the simplest way to learn the difference.
Bardolino on the east shore has made DOC wine since 1968. Its main grape is Corvina, usually blended with Rondinella, and the pink Chiaretto has had its own DOC since 2018. A tasting near Lazise pours at least six wines with cured meats, cheese, bread and Garda olive oil.
On the west shore, an estate visit at San Felice del Benaco centres on DOP olive oil, with local cheese and a glass of wine. Both are short enough to fit into the afternoon of a lake day. The Bardolino page explains the wine town in more detail.
How to choose
A few rules of thumb that save money and time.
Boat trips
The short Sirmione cruise is cheap and shows the castle from the water. The two-hour speedboat tour covers Lazise, Bardolino, Garda, Isola del Garda and Sirmione but does not stop. Only the private cruise and the self-drive boat suit a small group that wants its own pace.
Tastings
Two hours is enough for a wine or olive oil tasting. None of these tours includes transport, so you need a car or a taxi to reach the farm. Agree in advance who drives.
Verona
The full-day tour takes up to ten hours, which leaves little time on your own. The price does not list the Arena ticket. If you only want a few hours in the city, the train gives you more freedom, as explained in Verona to Lake Garda.
Gardaland
A ticket does not include the aquarium, and a fast track upgrade (from €82) does not include entry. See Gardaland for the opening dates and the free shuttle from Peschiera.
Tour or public ferry?
You do not always need a tour to get onto the water.
The scheduled ferries are the cheapest way to see the lake. A day ticket for the whole lake costs €39.50 in 2026, with €20 for children aged 4 to 11. You choose your own stops and stay as long as you like.
A tour makes sense when you want a guide, a tasting or a boat of your own. The passenger ferries stop after 1 November, and in winter only the car ferry between Maderno and Torri del Benaco runs.
