Limone sul Garda at a glance
Limone sul Garda belongs to the province of Brescia in Lombardy and is the last Lombard town on the west shore before the border with Trentino. Riva del Garda is 10 kilometres away, about 13 minutes by car without traffic. Gargnano, the next larger town to the south, is 19 kilometres away and takes about 23 minutes.
The town is best known for two things: an old lemon house, the Limonaia del Castèl, and a cycle and walking path that clings to the cliffs above the lake.

What to see in Limone
The two main sights, plus the pier.
Limonaia del Castèl
This lemon house was built in the early 18th century and reopened after restoration on 22 July 2004. It holds about 100 citrus trees. Guided visits are arranged through the town hall on 0365 954008.
The cycle and walking path
The path starts in the centre of Limone and runs to the Trentino border via Capo Reamol. It has no steep climbs, and LED lights in the handrail make it safe to walk at night. The final 2 kilometres run close to the water.
The pier
Limone has its own stop in the ferry network, plus a second one called Limone Multipiano. The stop is served only while the passenger boats run, which is until 1 November in 2026.

The cycle path and where to park
A short path with no steep climbs, and a few notes on parking.
The path opened on 14 July 2018 and has recorded more than 500,000 passages since. The final 2 kilometres are the stretch that sits right above the lake. A taxi can take you from the car park by the lake to those last 2 kilometres.

Limone in autumn and winter
The season changes quickly after the first days of November.
Passenger boats
They stop after 1 November 2026 and return on 13 March 2027. Until then, Limone is reached by road.
The lemon house
It opens daily until 8 November, and on Saturdays and Sundays only from 14 November.
The cycle path
The path can be walked after dark thanks to the lights in its handrail. On windy days, check the conditions before you set out along the cliffs.
A good half day combines the lemon house in the morning with the path in the afternoon, then continues by car to Riva del Garda, 10 kilometres to the north.
Getting to Limone sul Garda
Limone is on the lakeshore road along the west shore. From Riva del Garda it is a drive of about 10 kilometres. From Salò it is 16 kilometres to Gargnano and 19 more from Gargnano to Limone, so allow about 45 minutes from Salò without traffic.
By boat, the Alto Lago day ticket costs €27 for adults and covers the north part of the lake from the Maderno to Torri crossing northwards. The whole-lake ticket is €39.50. Passenger boats run until 1 November 2026 and return on 13 March 2027. In winter only the car ferry between Maderno and Torri del Benaco operates, and Limone is not on that route.
